Pursuing whole and holy leadership

For the past 35 years, Sam has served as a Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, District Executive Minister (overseeing churches in five states), and as a seminary professor (Bethel Seminary).

He has also served several long-term intentional interim lead pastor roles, preparing churches and their leadership teams to call a new pastor. Sam has directly overseen a staff of 40+, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and led numerous capital campaigns. He specializes in pastoral transitions and assisting new lead pastors in discerning how best to begin the leadership journey in a new context, as well as assisting in the discernment process to determine when it is time to transition from a current ministry to a new context.
